Workshop – Using Nederlab for humanities research

For the workshop ‘Using Nederlab for humanities research’ at the Digital Humanities Benelux 2018 conference, Marijn Schraagen discussed possibilities and issues of integrating the set of manual annotations of the letters by P.C. Hooft into the Nederlab online research environment. The integration is desired to facilitate the availability of the research output of the Language Dynamics project for the scientific community. However, this task is complicated by issues such as representing information specific to 17th century Dutch, or presenting the additional annotations to users in a clear way. During the workshop both Nederlab and the Language Dynamics project have expressed the intention to solve these issues in the near future in order to publish the annotated dataset within the Nederlab interface.
