Conference Poster – Language Resources and Evaluation

At the Language Resources and Evaluation Conference (LREC) in Miyazaki, Japan, Marijn Schraagen presented a paper about manual annotation of the letters by P.C. Hooft. This annotation includes linguistic information (parts of speech and lemmata) as well as sociolinguistic information on rhetorical categories and document structure. The paper discusses various methodological considerations, for example the need to adjust the set of rhetorical categories to match the documents in the corpus, and the interpretation of different approaches to measuring agreement between document annotators.
